We are a new fabric and sewing shop in Loveland Colorado. I have been sewing and quilting for the last 10 years and am so inspiried by all the modern fabrics and patterns, and hope to share that inspiration with you. We offer the latest modern fabric lines, patterns and notions, and will also be offering a wide range of classes in which you can pick up new skills or improve on the ones you already have. I look forward to meeting all of our customers in the coming months! Please check back here and on our Facebook page for updates!
This week's news:
We are in the second month of our Block of the Month club! February's block is called the Whirly Wheel, as it's a play on the traditional Whirly Gig and Pinwheel blocks. Clever, I know : )
Kits include a full pattern and precut fabric to make one block. The pattern also includes cutting instructions so you can make additional blocks, and includes a variation on the size too. I've made up three different kits, to fit all styles!
I'll release a new kit each month and we'll also offer an open sew each month for those that enjoy working on a project with other awesome club members. The February BOM open sew will be Sunday, 2/23 from 2pm-4pm. Please RSVP if you'd like to attend.
Sewers and quilters of all levels are welcome to join in this club. There is no obligation or long-term commitment! Just stop in to see each month's block and pick up the kit if it strikes your fancy. We'll offer a "Finishing it Up" class later in the year to help with the process of joining all your blocks and completing the quilting process.
In SALE news, all hand embroidery supplies are 10% off from February 14-28. This includes all patterns, embroidery thread, hoops, and the pillowcases and hankies. We have a huge selection of DMC embroidery thread, and some fun patterns and thread from Sublime Stitching. We also have patterns by local designers Pretty P & Mama B Designs, along with their samples.
Quilts for Kids is a wonderful organization that provides comfort to children in the form of lovingly made quilts. Check out their website for more info on the organization www.quiltsforkids.org, and then RSVP for an open sew we'll be hosting at the shop on Sunday, March 9 from 1 - 4pm! We'll have machines set up and kits ready to go for anyone who would like to volunteer their time to sew together some quilt tops that will be well-received by children in hospitals around Northern Colorado. The kits are already cut and ready to be sewn using an easy-to-follow pattern. This would be a great opportunity for any of you beginning sewers and quilters out there to get some free practice! Contact us at the shop if you have any questions about the open sew or would like to RSVP. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Below is a picture of a quilt I recently finished! I used the Bloom pattern by Aneela Hoey, pattern available in the shop. It went together really easily, using the four different sized templates in the pattern. Stop in to see it in person and pick up a pattern for yourself!
